¡Hola! Me llamo Xótchil. Soy cafetera, barista (siempre aprendiendo) y periodista. Les escribo desde Costa Rica ( y a veces desde otras latitudes). Somos un país orgullosamente productor de café de alta calidad, ¡ y tenemos mucho que contar!

La idea aquí es poder conversar sobre el universo del café y poderles traer material fresco para quienes desean saber cómo tomar el mejor café, dónde tomarlo, dónde comprarlo y cómo prepararlo. Procuraremos hablar con los que trabajan todos los días con este delicioso producto; los que lo producen y quienes nos lo llevan a la mesa. Un mapa del café que espero disfruten tanto como yo.

Hello! My name is Xotchil. I am a coffee lover, barista (always learning) and journalist. I write to you from Costa Rica (and sometimes from other places). We are a country proudly producing high quality coffee, and we have a lot to tell!

The idea here is to talk about the coffee universe and be able to bring fresh material for those who want to know how to drink the best coffee, where to take it, where to buy it and how to prepare it. We will try to talk with those who work every day with this delicious product; those who produce it and those who take it to the table. A map of the coffee that I hope you enjoy as much as I do.

On the main page you will find all the most recent posts; from the coffee plantation to the cup. I also invite you to explore our map of coffee shops and barista schools in Cafeography, to learn the language of the coffee world in Glossary for coffee lovers, to get great coffees that we are tasting and telling its story at our shop, and in “Contacto” a form for those who wish to communicate in this way.
